Atlanta Novelist's Interview Will Re-Broadcast in Response to Listener Requests

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 22, 2007 -- In response to requests from listeners who missed the show earlier this month, all three of the Atlanta-based Dickie Broadcasting radio stations will re-broadcast the interview Greg Jordan conducted with author, Darlene Wofford. In the hour-long Public Affairs program Mr. Jordan, producer and host, interviews the Atlanta native about her novel, "Edgewise: An Assignment to Remember." The show is scheduled to re-broadcast 'trimultaneously' at 4:00 Sunday, June 24th on WCNN-680 AM, WFOM-1230 AM, and WALR-680 AM. You may also listen via stream audio at http://www.streamaudio.com/site/Stations.aspx?location=GA-GEORGIA , click on WCNN to hear the show.

If the name Darlene Wofford rings a bell to Atlanta listeners, it's because she co-hosted an hour-long talk-show called "Your Inner Voice" on Atlanta's own WFOM-1230 AM which aired on Saturday mornings from 10-11 in 2006. Mr. Jordan was the show's producer and it's like old times to hear them together on the radio again.

Mr. Jordan's probing questions allows the listening audience to get up close and personal with the author as she discusses her new book, "Edgewise: An Assignment to Remember." A novel based on true events in her life, this is the first of three novels in her "Edgewise" series, with "Seven Years 'Til Sunrise" scheduled for release next year and the third to be released in 2009. The term "Edgewise" is used to describe the book's protagonist as a shattered woman in an edgewise state of mind--driven to the edge by back-to-back traumas. However, "An Assignment to Remember" is not as much about the traumatic events as it is about her healing progression and the prevailing strength of unconditional love between a man and a woman. The author tells her poignant story through the eyes of her alter-ego, Delaney Rutherford.

To quote Page One Lit literary newsletter, "Wofford is a wonderful writer whose personality and charisma is vivid in every word and sentence in her new book, "Edgewise: An Assignment To Remember." This is the most honest, heart-inspiring book ...(of the)... year. "Edgewise" is an example of how one woman wants to live in the past but realizes she can't. It is about confronting reality. It is about emotions. It is about communication. It is about life." A reader sums it up nicely on Barnes and Noble's web site in her review, "Edgewise took me on an emotional journey of laughter, sorrow and hope."

Mrs. Wofford's will be signing her novel during her Summer Book Tour's next event, Saturday, June 30th at Waldenbooks in Buford, Georgia. The bookstore is located on the upper level near Belk's in Georgia's largest shopping mall, Mall of Georgia, right off exit 115, Interstate 85 north. 678-482-2923.
